- What is the best part about your job?
Definitely the growers! I’ve been here long enough that growers are like family to me, so I end up having some great conversations with them! - What is your favourite time of the year in the rice season?
Seed season, because it’s usually a busy time, and it’s when I get to meet and onboard our new growers. - If you were a SunRice product, which one would you be and why?
Probably microwave rice. No fuss, handy to have around, and different flavours depending on the mood! - What is one surprising thing growers wouldn’t know about you?
I own a school bus business with my husband. Growers are much easier to deal with than children. I think. - What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
From Jan Cathcart: Always go into bat for the underdog! Jan was a firm believer that all growers should be treated equally, and likewise, that we should treat growers as we would like to be treated ourselves.
