Korean Beef Bowl

INGREDIENTS

2 tsp Sesame oil 

1 Brown onion, finely diced 

500g Beef mince 

3 cups Crunchy Noodle Slaw kit

OPTIONAL

Kimchi 

1 tbsp Sesame seeds

SAUCE

3 tbsp Brown sugar 

3 tbsp Soy sauce 

1 tsp Gochujang paste or Chilli flakes

RICE

2x 250g SunRice Microwave Rice 

or 

1½ cups SunRice rice, uncooked

Tofu - Substitute for beef mince

STEP 1 - PREP

  • Mix sauce ingredients into a small bowl well
  • Cook rice as per the instructions on the packet

STEP 2 - COOK

  • Add sesame oil and onion in large frypan,
    stirring for 1-2 minutes on medium heat
  • Add beef mince and cook until browned
  • Add the sauce and mix to combine
  • Allow to simmer without stirring for 3-4 minutes
  • Stir, then allow to simmer for another 2 minutes
    to caramelise

STEP 3 - SERVE

  • Remove from the heat, add rice, sesame seeds & spring onion (if using)

PRO TIP - STORAGE

  • Store your left over rice in a sealable, microwave-friendly tub for another day.
