Meet our Growers

Heritage Meets Innovation
Michael and Felicia Chalmers of Noorong, NSW, are a true example of how family legacy and practical innovation can work hand in hand in modern rice farming.

A community built on rice
For Josh, being a SunRice grower isn’t just about farming, it’s about being part of something bigger.
“SunRice has brought our community together, not just growers, but all the people employed through the mills and across the wider business,” he says. “It’s such a significant employer in our region and that matters. It’s bigger than just one farm.”

Commitment to innovation in rice farming
Situated in the heart of Gogeldrie, in the Yanco district near Leeton, Garry Knagge and his wife Marg represent the third generation of rice growers on a farm that has been in the family since the 1930s.

Coming home to grow
For Hayden Dalitz, stepping into rice farming was a leap into the unknown, but it was one he was ready for. Based in Moulamein, around 100km west of Deniliquin, Hayden and his fiancé Sam have recently returned to Sam’s family property, Edward Park Pastoral.

From the farm to the boardroom
For John Bradford, rice isn’t just a crop, it’s a legacy. Nestled in southern NSW, one of his farms has been in continuous ownership for over 110 years. John and his wife Julie purchased it from family in 2020, carrying forward a tradition that now involves their three children.
