Jasmine Rice
SunRice Jasmine Fragrant Rice, because of its delicate fragrance and soft texture, is commonly preferred in Asian cooking.
The slightly sticky but fluffy and separating rice is perfect in fried rice, stir-fries, Thai curries and other Asian dishes. For best results rinse rice before cooking and do not cook with salt to preserve the delicate aroma.

SunRice Jasmine Fragrant Rice is available in 750g, 1kg, 1.5kg (Pour & Store) & 5kg packs.
Cooking Method
Absorption

Absorption

  1. Place 1 cup (200 g) of rice in a saucepan. Add 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) of cold water. Bring to boil.  Stir occasionally.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 12-14 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stand, covered for 5-10 minutes. Serve.
Gentle Boil

Gentle Boil

  1. Place 1 cup (200 g) of rice in a saucepan. Add 6-8 cups of cold water. Bring to boil.  Stir occasionally.
  2. Lower heat and boil gently, uncovered for  12-14 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat. Drain well and serve.
Microwave

Microwave

Use the same water to rice ratio as the absorption method. However, as there are great variances between microwaves, refer to your microwave manual for instructions.

Tip: For optimal consistency in results, we recommend the use of an electric rice cooker.
